that will result in a 3 percent increase in salaries and 1.5 percent contributions by the teachers to their medical coverage.
The contract begins next month and runs through June 2013. The two sides also agreed to a contract for the 2009-10 school year that includes 1.7 percent in retroactive pay.
The district also reached an agreement on a unified support staff contract covering custodians, paraprofessionals, security guards and secretaries. All of those groups previously had individual contracts.
